Slow Death By PowerPoint

I found this neat little document via my World History & Geography professor's blog, and I must say, this lot teaches a lesson worth learning. And no, this ain't the academic kind of educational crap, it's more like a "don't do this" kind of crap. Enjoy!

Killing Students With Power Point

Props to Sir Rivero and his blog (because I found this little thing there), user vijay_5kaushik of Scribd.com (for uploading the file in the first place. Just click on the name to view the dude's profile and check out more of his cool documents!), a neat document-sharing website.

The Sum Of All Fears

Have I told you guys that I really like to read novels and shit like that? I just bought new (actually old) books down at SM Manila's Booksale! Yeah, I buy books at Booksale since there are a lot of interesting books there that I haven't read before, but though they are old, at least they're still really cool! I planned to buy new books Tuesday this week, but after I asked about a duplicate copy of a book from an employee (which they didn't have, by the way), the woman told me that there's gonna be a 3-Day Sale starting Friday, this week. So, you know what I did after that? I took out my little green notebook, and wrote down stuff that I'll be getting, put the books back on respective shelves (except on this one book that I hid behind others because it's the only hardbound copy and people might beat me to it), and left. Last Friday was the first day of this 3-Day-Sale SM Manila's having, and I've to tell you, like, when I got back to the place, there was, like, a lot of books! Oh, wait, "it's a bookstore, doi!" is what you're thinking, right? It's not like that, the number of books there, like, doubled (I think). Yeah, I know, "sale, doi!" But nevertheless, that was a lot of books. So anyway, I took out my list to find the books I wanted to purchase, but I ended up finding only two of them, like what the hell man. I was thinking of getting "Politika", "Bio-Strike", "The Sum Of All Fears" (the only hardbound copy) and "The Hunt For Red October" by Tom Clancy and "The Body Farm" by Patricia Cornwell (another cool author), but turns out, I didn't bring enough money to buy everything on the list, and The Body Farm wasn't there anymore, someone must've already took it. I only ended up getting "The Sum Of All Fears" and "The Hunt For Red October" by Tom Clancy (totally cool author, dude!), and I found this cool book to give to a friend, which is called "The Man Who Loved Only Numbers (The Story of Paul Erdős and the Search For Mathematical Truth)" by Paul Hoffman, which is about the life of a mathematics genius who is, like, totally obsessed with math.

"A mathematical genius of the first order, Paul Erdős was totally obsessed with his subject—he thought and wrote mathematics for nineteen hours a day until he died. He traveled constantly, living out of a plastic bag, and had no interest in food, sex, companionship, art—all that is usually indispensable to a human life. Paul Hoffman, in his marvelous biography, gives us a vivid—and strangely moving—portrait of this singular creature, one that brings out not only Erdős's genius and his oddness, but his warmth and sense of fun, the joyfulness of his strange life."
—Oliver Sacks, Author & Neurologist

So, yeah. That's about it. I got 3 new books that I hope to read soon, well, just 2 of them, actually, since I'm going to give out the third one to some Physical Therapy dude for her birthday, along with some scented tealights. And oh, I got this set of kitchen utensils yesterday! Like there's a whole bunch of useless crap that came along this manual mixer I bought, 2 knives (a straight-edged, and a serrated) with a chopping guide, a dumpling mold, a slicer, and something that takes eyes out of pineapples, scales fish, and does some of the jobs that a paring knife could do. See this mixer looks like a plastic whisk, but you could push it down so the head would rotate. Like, mondo coolio, right? I'd use it a little later, after I eat this Vietnamese rice noodle soup with Japanese mushrooms.

Yep. Being back blogging is just way too...

Spit You Out

I feel like shit. My mind is shitty right now. I'm trying to chat with somebody right now, but I keep on getting disconnected. I can't think of anything to say, if I do think of something to say, I'd just get disconnected and forget about it. Damn it.

Just wanted to spit something out. I really needed to talk.

Props to Bullet For My Valentine for supplying me with the appropriate title. Click HERE to listen to the song.

Hope things get better soon. I hate not to be able to do shit that I already said. That is not at all...
